My very first orchid, photo of the first day my fiance brought it home to me. A large Philaenopsis orchid who was dyed purple but comes back white.

This the current back round for the blog, a beautiful yellow Phalaenopsis I bought from Ikea of all places!

My mini Phalaenopsis orchids!

I'll update this plant's photo when it blooms, it's going to be chocolate colored! It's another Phalaenopsis shouldn't get too large but is not a mini.

I will also update this awesome plant's photo, this is a Red Emperor Dendrobium. This plant has more cane like stems that should fill up completely with flowers. Did you notice the Keiki (baby) growing on top?

This is a very big Phalaenopsis the spike is close to three feet tall and as you can see the blooms are not only gorgeous but big too!

In my opinion the Paphiopedilum orchids are so interesting. I could stare at this plant for hours. I love the veins in the pitcher part, the hairs on the petals. and all of the striking colors. These orchids are also called Lady Slipper orchids and I love them!

This one is called Burgundy Bliss it is an Ocidium hybrid I got this for Valentines day and I'm quite in live with it.

This is a Oncidium called Colmanara Wildcat I picked this girl up at a Lowes where I was buying a new pot for another orchid. I'll update this plants photo as it starts to look better, right now It's pseudo bulbs are very wrinkly!

This orchid is pretty neat they have bulbs and produce a spice every year with just one flower. The one on the right has already produce a flower that's fallen off. Each year it should produce new bulbs as well. These guys go very dormant during fall and bloom in February.
